I know two posts one day. But I just overhauled the blog. So far I like it. More tweaks to come.
So yes, this was all me. Don’t worry. I also tweaked the FB page a bit too.
In looking through my blog, I saw my old states I’ve visited map. I’ve now added Indiana to that list, and have updated the map accordingly.
So 28/50, I really need to get westward don’t I?
A general housekeeping posts. Please don’t comment on old posts. Seriously. It just makes you look like you are trolling for something. I barely remember what I had for lunch today let alone what I wrote 3 years ago.
Most likely going to add this into my disclaimer or about me page as well.
Why, yes, I’m alive and well. I know I need to get back into blogging properly, but maybe over winter break from school, I’ll get to doing that. But I just wanted to update my online map of states I’ve visited, and wanted to stick it here.
I’m actually quite impressed that I’ve been to a little more than half the states in the US. Now I just need to figure out how to get to the rest and travel the world as well 🙂
I know, June started off good, and then I became a bad blogger again. I didn’t finish some of the books I got from the library but that’s because I borrowed like the entire trilogy instead of each book on its own, and just kind of got sick of reading one series at a time.
Then I’ve also been full force on the job hunt. It’s really frustrating. I can’t even get a retail job just to get me out of the house a couple hours a week.
I’m trying to do Camp NaNoWriMo this month. I made a small goal of 10k words. Don’t know if I’ll actually commit to any writing yet though. I’ve got a couple characters down, but I kind of need that thing to kick start them into their journey.
I feel like I know I’d start blogging more regularly if I was doing something. I mean it’s not that exciting that I go to the gym every other day, and then come back home and sit on my ass and watch Theme Park Review’s YouTube channel.
Though I may actually write about my love of roller coasters and amusement parks in a post. (maybe, I’m still kind of sad that the only “new to me” coasters I’m riding this year are wacky worms. )
Yes, it’s Monday. Yes, the weekend is over. But this is an update of my weekend.
Wizard World’s Philadelphia Comic Con was this past weekend. I had a blast! I’m exhausted and tired and overall it was a lot better than 2012’s convention. I’ll be blogging about it later on in the week.
Coming up tomorrow I’ve got a book review of The Testing by Joelle Charbonneau. Preview (I really liked it!)
Also don’t forget that this coming weekend is Coasting for Kids. If you want to donate there’s still time 😉
I’ll update more when I’ve caught up on sleep and food.
I wrote this note on Facebook. I asked about what would you like to see me write about. I figure I’ll post it on here as well because maybe I’ll get some tweets or comments. I’d like to see me posting every other day. Or every couple days. Maybe once a week until I get back into the swing of things. I’m not sure. Philly comic con is in a couple weeks. So I’ll have that.
I have one suggestion on writing about what makes me, me. I’m not entirely sure how to do that on a wholly public platform. I’ve always used Livejournal and 750words.com for that type of stuff. So we will see what I will post about me, myself, and I on here. 🙂
Bring on the suggestions!
First I just wanted to welcome my new followers, but I also wanted to give a word of warning. I saw that quite a few of you guys have cooking/recipe blogs. I can most definitely tell you my blog is not that. I’m lazy. I actually really hate cooking, but if something I do attempt and hell doesn’t freeze over and my apartment is still standing, by hell I’m posting about it. So what I’m trying to say is don’t be expecting recipes all the time. If I do something out of the ordinary, that I think other people will enjoy, I’ll post it. I’ll post where I got the recipe and a link if appropriate, and what I changed to make it my own.
My blog is mainly about places I go and books I read, and anything else that speaks to me in that moment. So stick around if you want, I don’t mind 🙂
Now for something different, I’ve passed 100 posts on this here blog. I guess when I do put my mind to it, I can get blogging successfully done. I know I need to update with more important blog posts from places I visited in 2012. I’ll get there. I know I’ll get it done, because I want to talk about where I’ve gone. (Plus I’ve got some more spare time now since I’m job hunting).
Oh and random note, my beef stew was pretty darn good heated up tonight for dinner. I’ve now frozen the rest for later.
So thank you readers people just checking out my blog.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 3 years to get that many views.
I will have a complete Year in Review up tomorrow for everything I did, but for now, enjoy this year in Review blog style.
Ironically it’s a year to the day, that I’m posting my 2013 list. Here’s the entry in case you want to go back and read.
In case you don’t want to read, I’ll copy and past last years goals and a wrap up of BFST 2012.
So that’s where my Big Fun Scary Things 2012 ended up.
Now onto the fun stuff! What do I have listed for 2013?
